I’ve changed my mind by Bill Storie

Last week I said that I was ambivalent about celebrating Christmas (I think ambivalent means I was dithering), (I think dithering means it’s age thing).

Anyhoo, its Christmas week so time to get into the spirit of it.

Years ago, in fact many years ago, in my case, having a spiritual Christmas was in the company of Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky. Not now. To be honest I don’t know why we can’t just celebrate the festive season with our usual beverages such as tea or coffee or plain old water. “Bah humbug” many of you are saying right now.

But, I digress.

Christmas is actually all about friendship and fellowship. It’s about being kind to man i.e. “mankind”.

If your festive season revolves around some other beliefs then fine. Each must be allowed to celebrate (or not) in their own fashion. But hopefully we can all come together and share the intent, and be grateful for each other, and maybe even be nice to each other. Now there’s a thought.

You are all far too busy to read much more of me this week, so I’ll wrap it up now and say,

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays … or simply … “Joy to the world”
