A yearn to learn by Robin Trimingham

As you will see from the headline of this post – I am coming out of hiding… er so to speak. Those of you who are regular readers of this blog will know that I have always written under the bi-line “oldster in training”, and while there is no doubt that I am still in training, there is also no doubt that I am committed to this journey for the long haul and it’s about time that I officially said “hello”.

The past three years have been a time of great change and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me – moving country, turning fifty, starting olderhood and filming a television show have kept me busy to say the least.

There have been a few tough moments but I can honestly say that I would not have changed a thing about my experiences thus far because they have taught me so much and I cannot wait to see what the rest of life has in store for me.

What I can tell you is that further that I go , the more that I learn and the more that I want to keep going to see what else I can learn. I literally hope to be a work in progress for the rest of my life and I hope that some of you will decide to follow along to see what happens.

I have been blessed with a few very good friends and some very wise (and patient) mentors. You have taught me to believe in myself no matter what, to forgive when I don’t feel like it, and that there are very few problems that a good brisk walk and a cupcake cannot solve.

Bill and I are about to head back into the studio to film another series of retirement television programmes in which we will be sharing some new retirement lifestyle concepts. We plan to make them available to everyone in due course.

As always, if you have any questions or topics that you would like us to address – please feel free to leave a comment and let us know.
