Olderhood Turns Five by Robin Trimingham
Last week we received a request for an updated media package at Olderhood which caused me to pause and take stop of all the various projects that Bill and I currently have “on the go”. When I started scribbling down a list of all the things we are working on I didn’t realize just how long the list really was.
We might have started as a hobby, but to date we have produced: a popular radio show, 3 television series, over a thousand blog articles, a book, podcasts, e-Books, three full length workshop presentations with workbooks, a Facebook page with over 85,000 followers and a private Facebook group with members from over 100 countries. And I almost forgot to mention our corporate consulting projects, book editing, research, and retirement life transition coaching.
All this before the age of five – no wonder we are a little tired!
As much as Bill is not a big fan of cake, I think I am going to get us one this year and decorate it with six candles – one for each of our six life changing projects that brings us so much joy to develop and light the lives of people all around the world. If you are reading this and know someone who could benefit from something that we do, please forward them this message, and encourage them to follow along with us as we change the world one word at a time.

The Third Journey
Our book “The Third Journey – Making the Most of Your Life After Work” focuses on a variety of physical, emotional, financial and psychological issues the typical retiree is likely to face, while making practical suggestions as to how to employ creativity and ingenuity to overcome obstacles and personal fears.
Olderhood International Club
A very active segment of our Facebook platforms is the Olderhood International Club which currently has almost 18,000 members, growing daily. OIC is free to members who are all vetted before being allowed to join. Members share issues, concerns, spiritual messages, and fellowship with members around the world.
We produce many podcasts on a range of subjects including thoughts on sensitive issues of concern for people living on their own, those getting older and experiencing a variety of personal matters. Podcasts typically run about 7 minutes and are available on SoundCloud, iTunes and YouTube.
While we prepare and provide various types of webinar, we enjoy the face-to-face environment of group settings. Interactive conversation establishes a more powerful session for attendees where personal issues can be aired and discussed. We currently have two core workshops – “Retirement Matters” and “Money Matters”, with approx. 3 hour duration each. Feedback surveys have always been extremely positive and encouraging. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss arranging a workshop for your company or group.
